In feature films, Bomer starred as one of the leads in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and appeared in Flightplan with Jodie Foster. Bomer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University. After college, he moved to New York, where he worked on stage until he landed a brief stint as Ian Kipling on the daytime drama All My Children. Following that, he was cast as leading character Ben Reade in the soap opera The Guiding Light in 2001.
