From Africa to Antarctica - Totally Wild has seen it all. But in an absolute first ever I went on a mission to Mars!
After "space suiting" up along with my fellow astronauts, we collected our equipment and depressurised in the Airlock. Then it was time to see what life was like on our nearest planetary neighbour. While I was there I had to collect samples for analysis back on planet Earth and I also got to speak to scientists back home via a "satellite link up" from Mars to Mission Control.
All I can say is that I have a new found respect for Astronauts - wow that equipment is unbelievably heavy. And Mars… well it is hot and it's dusty!
Oh okay, I do have a slight confession to make….
It was more of a simulated mission to Mars at the Victorian Space Science Education Centre rather than a real one - but it was definitely the next best thing and it's catching the story on Totally Wild – it's out of this world!?!
See you soon,
Nat x
