Sean takes to the high seas on the Tall Ship South Passage, hangs out with a 9 year old wake board champion and tries his hand at indoor rock climbing!
This week, Adam and I filmed on the Tall Ship South Passage. The wind was blowing and the swell was rough, making for quite an adventure on the high seas (literally!). We rode the bow sprit, which is the very front of the boat, and laid back in the netting as the ship smashed through the waves. And, we got very wet! We also helped put the sails up and down, but as you can imagine, Adam and I weren't the most skilled sailors!
Besides the adventure on the tall ship this week I tried my hand at indoor rock climbing, and take it from me, it's quite a workout! It's unbelievable to see the professionals at work; they literally hang on by their fingertips as they scale the walls; they even go upside down!
My other filming day was spent with a nine year old wake boarder who can pull of the most insane moves. He can do a toe-side front roll, which is basically where he completes a full rotation in the air - very impressive! So how do you get into doing stuff like this? Well, you'll have to watch Totally Wild over the next few weeks to find out!
Don't forget - if you have any story ideas, or maybe a presenter challenge you would like us to try out, send them through to totallywild@networkten.com.au
Stay Wild,
Sean :)
