Boa Constrictors are unbelievably massive!!!
Boa Constrictors are unbelievably massive and until you've actually seen one up close you can't fully understand how big they are! Some of them have been known to eat an entire cow in the wild! A COW!!! I'm not kidding!
I met one on a recent TW filming trip to Ballarat Wildlife Park in Victoria and while I interviewed Keeper Stuart about this amazing snake I got to hold it too. While Stuart was answering my questions the snake started to get tighter and tighter around my waist and I got a bit worried but Stuart assured me that it wasn't constricting me (which is how it kills its' prey) but rather holding on in the same way it would wrap itself around a tree. I was glad to give the snake back to the keeper because it was incredibly heavy and it seemed to take a liking to coming very close to my face!
It was such an awesome day, I didn't want to leave! Make sure you tune in to see me almost get eaten alive (well not quite but that's what I've been telling my friends!).
