Aron Rolston & Marc Fennell
Adventurer Aron Rolston amputated his own right arm after a solo hiking trip went horribly wrong. An account of the ordeal is documented in his autobiography Between a Rock and a Hard Place, and now his story is the subject of Danny Boyle’s film, 127 Hours starring James Franco. Marc Fennell caught up with the mountaineer at the Sydney premiere of the film.
Ten News Cross
Singapore Competition
The Circle has got together with Singapore Airlines and the Arts Centre in Melbourne to offer the perfect treat for a lucky couple - just in time for Valentine’s Day.
One lucky winner will get to fly to Melbourne with a guest with overnight accommodation thrown in, so they can see one of the 200+ live events at the Famous Spiegel Garden, which launches on February 12. The activities at the Arts Centre in Melbourne even include a new playground for both adults and children themed with 1930's ex pat Raffles decor. Among the artists performing are Paul Capsis, Kate Ceberano, Renee Geyer, Bob Downe, Katie Noonan & The Captains and Void Love starring Kamahl.
On top of that, our winner will also sample the real atmosphere of the Raffles Hotel with two tickets to Singapore. You'll fly Singapore Airlines, of course and stay at the world famous hotel itself.
For your chance to win call 1902 555 656.
