Most women say all they want when they are pregnant is to have a healthy baby. While this may be the politically correct response, many women long for one sex over another. One woman has opened up about her heartache at discovering she was having another baby boy, when she so desperately wanted a daughter. Is it wrong to openly prefer one gender over another when you’re pregnant? Child psychologist, Sally-Anne McCormack, explains how to prepare yourself when things don’t go according to your hopes.

Annie Smithers' Bistrot - Cooking and Gardening Classes
Cooking demonstrations are $75 for two hours and held on the third Wednesday each month, starting July 20.
Garden classes are $50 for two hours, with Annie's gardener Simon Rickard. The first class will be held on Saturday July 23rd, and on the second Saturday of each month from August onwards.
Focus for the Garden Classes over the coming months:
July: Winter maintenance of fruit trees (pruning, organic pest control)
August: Composting
September: Growing vegies from seed
October: Growing perennial vegetables (asparagus, rhubarb, artichokes, strawberries, watercress)
November: Growing summer vegetables
December: Summer-proofing your garden
