Comedian and self proclaimed Happiest Refugee, Anh Do!
Anh Do
One of Australia’s best loved comedians, Anh Do, nearly didn't make it to Australia. His family came close to losing their lives when they escaped war-torn Vietnam in an overcrowded boat. But neither murderous pirates nor the threat of death by hunger, disease or dehydration could quench their desire to make a better life. Anh tells all in his book, The Happiest Refugee. Marked by tragedy, humour, heartache and unswerving honesty, his story is both moving and amusing.
The Happiest Refugee, Allen & Unwin, RRP: $32.99

Dr Michael Carr Gregg
In Australia, 1 in 5 young people will develop a mental illness before they turn 18 and these figures become significantly higher for those with a serious illness or disability. To address this issue, the Starlight Children's Foundation has set up an online community called Livewire to help keep seriously ill teens connected during their difficult times. To explain more we are joined by psychologist Dr Michael Carr Gregg.
September 2010 is Connectember- a fundraising and awareness month for Starlight's Livewire program. To donate, please visit: www.connectember.org.au
