Steve Carell
Steve Carell picked up a Golden Globe for his star turn in the US version of the television sitcom, The Office, but it was his role as The 40-Year-old Virgin that established the actor as a leading man on the big screen. He went on to star in Little Miss Sunshine, Evan Almighty, Get Smart, Date Night, and he also voiced wannabe evil genius Gru in the smash hit animated feature, Despicable Me. The American comedy star joins us in studio to discuss life after “The Office” and to tell us about his latest feature, Crazy Stupid Love.

Anita Shreve
When Anita Shreve impulsively quit her job as a high school teacher mid-semester to pursue her dream as a writer, she couldn't have known that 25 years later she'd be penning bestsellers. With no guarantee of success, she persevered through decades of hard work: writing short fiction (winning an O. Henry prize in 1976), working as a journalist in Kenya, freelancing for The New York Times Magazine, teaching creative writing, publishing her first novel in 1989, and then finally getting a game-changing phone call from Oprah in 1999. Since Oprah chose The Pilot's Wife for her book club, Shreve's books, including Light on Snow and The Weight of Water, have topped the bestseller lists. Anita joins us today to talk about her new book, Rescue, and the luxury of writing in her bathrobe.

Beautiful actress Matilde Maggio is one of the rising stars of Italian Cinema and is in Australia for the Italian Film Festival, which opens tonight in Melbourne and will be screening across the country during the next 6 weeks. Watarrka National Park is best known as the home of Kings Canyon, a mighty chasm that cuts into the George Gill Ranges. It is an important conservation area with rock holes and gorges providing refuge for more than 600 species of plants and animals, and the local aboriginal people. Their doctors and multi disciplinary team are providing new beginnings for mums, babies and extended families who may be in crisis, or close to it, due to a baby who’s not sleeping. We recently visited Masada and met with mother of three Nicole Adler, a patient at Masada, and Dr Louise Johns, a Mother Baby Unit GP who’s been admitting mothers and babies into Masada for ten years.
Masada Sleep School psychologist, Professor Jane Fisher, joins us on the couch to tell us more about the program and the help available to for mothers.
