REACH OPENS THE BOOK ON NEW CAMPAIGN
Pages of the private teenage diaries of well-known faces like Hamish Blake, Andy Lee, Kerry Armstrong and Victorian Premier, Ted Ballieu, will be revealed for the first time on St Patrick’s Day, Thursday 17th March, as The Reach Foundation launches its inaugural ‘Open Book Project’ campaign.
The Open Book Project aims to show today’s teenagers that we all go through similar experiences growing up. Reach is encouraging people over 18 to upload pages from their teenage diary to www.theopenbookproject.com.
Tghe launch coincides with St Patrick’s Day as a nod to Reach’s co-founder Jim Stynes’ Irish heritage. As part of the campaign, Stynes will share pages from his teenage diaries, talking about being a teenager in Ireland, and coming to Australia as part of Ron Barassi’s ‘Irish Experiment’.
An exclusive group of celebrity diary entries including those of comedian Jimeoin, TV personality/model Erika Heynatz and Channel Nine personality Livinia Nixon have been loaded to an online ‘Vault’, which individuals can access by texting ‘open’ to 13 REACH. Proceeds from the ‘The Vault’ SMS mechanic will go towards Reach.
Visit www.theopenbookproject.com to check out the diary entries uploaded and to learn more about the project. The Open Book Project campaign is live from 17th March to 15th April.
