Around the Circle
We catch up with our hosts’ latest news and exploits.
John Aiken
Do you know someone that leaves you feeling drained and deflated? Well, it could be that this person is an ‘emotional vampire’ - someone who sucks the life out of you. Dr Helen Street
We tell children it’s okay to fail as long as they try, but the same rule doesn’t seem to ring true for adults. Why do so many of us feel the need to keep up with ‘Joneses’ and be perfect at everything we do? Perfectionism might sound like an admirable trait, but many studies have found it's often a cause of anxiety and depression. Dr Helen Street says we need to let go of the need to keep up with others and joins us to how we can embrace the perfection in imperfection.
