Daffodil Day Chat
The Sorbent Sing for Daffodil Day campaign supports the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day on Friday, 27 August 2010, which raises vital funds for research, education and support services for those touched by cancer. This is Sorbent’s fourth year of partnering with Cancer Council and will see its contribution to Daffodil Day total well over half a million dollars. Sorbent will donate $150,000 to the Daffodil Day campaign, including $20,000 on behalf of The Circle, if they can get 50,000 people to record "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and The Waves, and upload it to www.sorbent.net/daffodilday .
So, to encourage viewers to make sure their voice is heard and upload their video performance, Yumi, Gorgi, Chrissie and Denise have recorded their version of Walking on Sunshine.
Sorbent singing pods will be travelling the country over the next four weeks, so head to these locations and record your version in aid of Daffodil Day.

This week is National Healthy Bones Week
Did you know?
A high percentage of children aged nine to 16 are not consuming enough dairy to meet their daily calcium requirements, which has implications for their long-term bone health. Children need plenty of calcium to help build and maintain strong bones. Establishing healthy eating habits during the school years is essential for helping to carry this behaviour into adulthood.
The greatest rate of bone growth takes place from birth to puberty (a 7 fold increase), so the school years are a critical time for building strong bones. A calcium-rich diet, including dairy foods, during adolescence helps maximise peak bone mass.
Consuming enough calcium for building and maintaining bones if critical throughout all stages of life.
Three serves of dairy daily provides a large proportion of the Recommended Dairy Intake (RDI) for calcium for most Australians. A serve is equal to 250ml of milk, a 200g tub of yogurt or 40g of cheese. Dairy is a great source of calcium and other bone-building nutrients including protein, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and zinc.
