1. Anything matte or too powdery is instantly ageing and is doing you no favours. DITCH IT. Switch to a foundation that is radiant-boosting and luminous, which will reflect light and give your skin a healthy glow. (Set lightly with loose powder if you need staying power.) There are plenty of these on the market now, and many contain anti-ageing and hydrating skin care ingredients as well as imperfection-blurring and illuminating ingredients, giving your skin a much more youthful, healthy look. Try: Revlon Age Defying Spa foundation (mix in a dollop of Revlon Age Defying Spa illuminator for added glow.)
2. Use your blush to create an instant face lift. Always start application by smiling, then apply blush on the apples (fleshiest part of the cheek) of the cheek and take the blush up and towards the temples, stopping in line with the end of your eyebrows, and ensuring the blush never goes any lower than the nose. This lifts the whole face up, whereas blush that is too low drags the face down. A creme blush will give a fresher, more natural look - set with a dab of powder blush for staying power. Try: Max Factor Miracle Touch.
3. Grow your brows out. Thicker brows are much, much more youthful and flattering than overly thin, too high, too-arched brows, which make the face look too pointy, and the features less in proportion. Have them
tinted them, or fill them in daily with a brow shadow or pencil and a brow brush. (Tip: Brows should always be 1-2 shades darker than your hair.) Try: Benefit Instant Eyebrow which fills in, shapes and sets brows instantly.
