Ingredients

Serves 4

500gm mince
A clove of garlic
1-2 onions
1 cup of peas
1 cup diced mushrooms
1 bay leaf
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 tub tomato paste
Splash of Worcestershire sauce
1 packet spaghetti (approx. 100g per person)
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup milk (optional)
Parmesan to serve

Method

Brown the meat and take it off the heat to rest. Drain the excess fat off.

Dice the onions and fry until translucent.

Add the crushed or finely chopped garlic.

Add the mushrooms until all well browned.

Add in the meat and tomato paste and mix in well. 

Add bay leaf and tinned tomatoes, peas and a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Leave to simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.

When cooked, stir in half cup of milk (optional).

Prepare spaghetti according to packet instructions. When cooked, top with sauce and serve with some parmesan cheese.
