Ingredients

Serves 4-6

Quark Dip:
4-6 tablespoons of little radish shoots (If growing your own, allow them to germinate for 4-5 days.
250g of Quark (soft curd cheese)
1 tablespoon cold pressed vegetable oil
125g natural yogurt
1-2 crushed garlic cloves
Pinch of sea salt
Fresh herbs
Curry powder or paprika

Method

Put it together on a big platter with a selection of breads, your favourite cheddar cheese, antipasto such as eggplant and semi-dried tomatoes, some good quality ham and some pickled onions.  We have also modernised this by adding a Quark Dip made with shoots from David Kirkpatrick's gardening segment, and some very nutritious avocados.

For the Quark Dip:
Combine quark, vegetable oil, yoghurt and garlic.

Chop the little radish shoots and mix well.
Season using sea salt, fresh herbs, a little curry powder and paprika.

This Quark dip with shoots is the perfect accompaniment to vegetable rissoles, rosti or boiled potatoes in their jackets and the Ploughman's Lunch.
