Ingredients
Serves 4-6350g/3cups plain flour
1 tablespoon dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
3 tablespoons olive oil
250ml/1cup warm water
Method
In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, salt, sugar, olive oil and water.
Tip onto the Kitchen bench and with extra flour at hand, begin to knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
Rub the original bowl with a small amount of oil and place the ball of dough back in the bowl.
Cover the bowl with a towel or cling wrap and keep in a warm place to rise until doubled in size. This may take an hour or more depending on how warm it is.
Once doubled in size, remove the cover and punch back to original size.
Roll and stretch the dough to fit a large round pizza tray or rectangular baking tray.
Spread with toppings and bake in a hot oven (220ºC) for 20 minutes or 250°C for 10 – 15 minutes.
