Ingredients
Serves Makes approx. 30 doughnuts340g plain flour
1tsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
20g fresh yeast
350ml water
Oil for deep frying
30 x 1cm diced Turkish delight pieces “sultan” brand rose flavour
Vanilla and Rose Water Honey:
250gm honey
1 vanilla pod
50mls rose water
50gm toasted pine puts for garnish
Method
Mix yeast, sugar and water together
Fold through salt and flour
Allow to stand for 30 mins in a warm place.
Form into balls, placing a piece of Turkish delight in the centre of the doughnut
batter.
Cook at 180°C in clean oil in a deep fryer.
Vanilla and Rose Water Honey:
Place honey and vanilla in a pot. Warm slightly. Remove from heat and mix in rose
water.
Fold through pine nuts and drizzle over doughnuts
