Ingredients
Serves 6-82 kg chicken wings
Marinade:
Kikkoman soya sauce (approx cup and a half)
Small jar of honey
1 knob fresh ginger, peeled and chopped, approx 4 tbsp
5-6 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
Fresh chilli to taste, deseeded
For serving:
Steamed rice
Baby tomatoes
Corn on cob
Big bunch Baby spinach
Japanese pre-bottled sesame dressing
Method
Blend all the marinade ingredients together.
Cut the tips off the chicken wings and toss the wings through the marinade. It doesn't take long. My mum does it right before she sticks them in the oven. Sometimes I marinate a bunch then freeze them. Do what you like!
Arrange on a tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 180°C til almost black (approx 1¼ hours).
Blanch spinach with boiling water from kettle. Squeeze with hands. Chop and dress with Japanese sesame dressing (see pic below).
Serve chicken wings with steamed rice, baby tomatoes, corn on the cob and spinach.
