Medium is a chilling drama series in which Allison Dubois uses her psychic abilities to help solve horrific crimes.The character Allison DuBois can communicate with dead people. They come to her in dreams or visions. She can see the future to solve violent and horrifying crimes that have remained mysteries to her boss D.A. Devalos and others within the criminal justice system. Allison is often accompanied by local cop Det. Lee Scanlon who at first did not believe that she had a gift. Her husband Joe DuBois, an aerospace engineer, comes to believe in his wife's abilities upon discovering that some of her dreams match the details of a murder in Texas. Her children have also inherited this gift. Glenn Gordon Caron is the creator and executive producer. Kelsey Grammer, Steve Stark, Rene Echevarria and Oscar winner Ronald L. Schwary are executive producers. The program is produced by Picturemaker Productions, Inc. in association with CBS Paramount Network Television and Grammnet Productions.
About the actual Allison DuBois The series is based and inspired by on Allison DuBois's book: Don't Kiss Them Goodbye and her life as a medium. She states that she has psychic abilities allowing her to communicate with the dead. DuBois uses her psychic abilities to assist law enforcement agencies across America to solve crimes with the Arizona police department. She also works as a jury consultant, working on several caseloads a year and in doing so, she has put killers on death row. Dubois first became aware of her abilities when she was just six years old. |
