Born in Sherman Oaks, California, Jennifer Aniston was raised in New York City and is a versatile actress who was exposed to acting at an early age by her father, Days of Our Lives actor John and her godfather, the late Telly Savalas. On FRIENDS, Jennifer Anniston plays Monica's new roommate, Rachel Greene, a young woman who's just left her fiancé Barry at the altar after realising she was more in love with her wedding presents than him! After 25 years of pampering, Rachel is embarking on a life of  independence but is ill-equipped for the real world. She's the poor little rich girl facing life as a single woman with no career and minimal cash flow, but with some strength and courage (and Daddy's credit card) she might just be okay!

Over the years Aniston's portrayal of the loveable Rachel Greene has earned her multiple Emmy nominations and the Emmy itself in 2002 for 'Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series,. She has won three People's Choice Awards for Favourite Female Television Performer and a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy, and has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award five times as part of the FRIENDS ensemble and twice on her own.
Aniston's recent film credits include The Break-Up opposite Vince Vaughn, Rumour Has It opposite Kevin Costner, Along Came Polly with Jim Carrey, Rock Star with Mark Wahlberg and the critically acclaimed The Good Girl opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. She currently has six film projects on the go including He's Just Not That Into You adapted from the best selling self-help book of the same name.
