Overview

Digital is the future of television, providing better picture quality and reception, plus the potential for a variety of new features to improve your viewing experience.

Digital television started in Australia in January 2001, with television networks providing digital transmissions in every capital city market. Since then digital transmissions have commenced in most regional markets.

TEN currently broadcasts all of its programming in analogue, Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) formats. HDTV and SDTV are both digital television formats, and they share a lot of the same qualities. The difference is that HD offers an even better picture quality, similar to what you experience in the movie theatre.

TEN is serious about giving you the best possible viewing experience, and we're constantly updating our HD line-up. Check the latest news to get the latest information on our digital and HD programming.
