The youngest ever lifeguard to work at Bondi, is also without doubt the keenest

His sole career ambition of becoming a lifeguard started with work experience at Bondi, before he applied for a position on the team. While boss 'Hoppo' thought Max's young age was against him, his first class skills in the water earned him a traineeship.

A playful naivety and fresh outlook has made the blonde haired wag a favourite among the boys, who're constantly amused by questions such as "how long would it take to count the sand on the beach?"

How did you become a trainee LG? I have always been talented in water skills and I did LG work experience for 5 months during school.
 
Why did you want to be a trainee at Bondi Beach/Waverly Council? Because I want to be a successful lifeguard in the future and I think Bondi is the best beach to work at to get the experience.
 
Why do you want become a Lifeguard? I think it is the job for me- I love the beach and love the rescue field.

Had you been a life-saver growing up? Yes part of south Maroubra surf club since I was 11.
 
What do you think is the hardest thing being a Lifeguard? For me its communication- I’ve got to slow down and think before I talk. Hopefully I will get better.
 
Who out of the Bondi Lifeguards would you most want to be rescued by, and Why? Deano, as he has the skill, he is quick, and he knows what he is doing.
 
What do you love about the idea of becoming a full time Lifeguard? Working on the beach all year round!

What do you like to do when you're not working at the beach? Surfing and cruising with my mates.
