Smallville is a reinterpretation of the enduring Superman mythology and classic characters blends realism and adventure into an exciting series.

Seventeen years ago, a meteor shower burst raining destruction on the citizens of Smallville, Kansas. From the ashes grew Clark Kent, whose transition from boyhood to manhood has been difficult as he comes to grips with his superpowers and destiny.

The series deals with the people in Clark Kent's life: the trials and tribulations of his adoptive human parents, Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent, his friendship with his peers Chloe Sullivan and Pete Ross and his attempts at a relationship with his love interest Lana Lang and his difficult relationship with sworn enemy Lex Luthor.

With realistic portrayals and award-winning, state-of-the-art special effects, Smallville reworks the Superman lore from its roots including dialogue, character costumes, scenic design, scores and guest stars.
