ABOUT THE CHARACTER
SENIOR SERGEANT LAWSON BLAKE
PLAYED BY RODGER CORSER
Lawson Blake, 36, Senior Sergeant – Team Leader and Primary Negotiator
The past three years has seen Lawson progress through the ranks and own his role as primary negotiator. Never afraid of criticism or to own up to errors in judgement, Lawson is his own worst critic.
Re-earning the respect of the force and his superiors after the death of an innocent civilian, on his watch at the end of season two, Lawson is now ready to take on anything that the state’s criminals can throw at him and his TR squad.
We all know Lawson doesn’t respond well to change or authority; however, after the appointment of the new police minister Kerry brings him news of both. Lawson’s role of top dog is pulled from under him and he’s less than thrilled about the situation.
We also start the season to see that, despite directive from his new boss, Lawson has managed to keep a hold of his love. Could season four be the time where him and Shannon finally settle down and hold a conventional relationship?
