Caring for the environment by conserving energy, water and using renewable resources

Together we're offering a Monthly prize of $2,000 in each state.

There will also be an Annual award in each State - to be announced in December - for what is judged to be the most significant community environment project for 2008.

This award will carry a prize of $5,000.

TIPS AND RULES

- The awards are open to anyone in Australia including schools, individuals, community groups and small business.

- The monthly deadline is the last Friday of every month.

- Monthly winners will be notified by phone

- Ten News may use entries for publicity, media or research purposes

- Entries will not be returned

- Entries will be judged on merit, rather than mode of submission (e.g. video footage will not be awarded above photographs)

- Nominations are to be submitted by email to environmentawards@networkten.com.au

- Video entries can only be submitted through post

- But those who have limited online access can send their entry to:

Selected nominees and winners will be featured on Ten's News at Five.

You must then email the completed application form to environmentawards@networkten.com.au

Please note that images can be uploaded into the word document itself or attached with the email.

Please limit any attachments to a maximum of 5 megabites.

JPEG files are the preferred format for image attachments.
