But when foster Mum, Melissa takes the puppy to Chris for a routine checkup she is confronted with terrible news. Tyson needs major heart surgery or he will die. Despite the expense, the family decides to adopt Tyson because they know no one else will give him a home in his condition. Will Tyson survive the open heart surgery and have a happy future with his new family?

Chris then gets a rather interesting house (boat?) call when a heron mum has decided to have her family on a luxury boat in one of Sydney’s exclusive harbour marinas. The only problem is the three chicks are growing up and destroying the boat. Owner, Guido is in a dilemma. He doesn’t want to harm the chicks but he does want his boat back for the summer holidays. Can Chris find an answer that will look after everybody’s welfare?

Then, on a scorching 40 degree day in Sydney, Brian and Sandra’s beloved pet Bunny has been struck down with an extreme case of heatstroke. Brian’s tears show Chris just how important this little rabbit is but Bunny is in serious trouble
