The Host
2009 marks Rove’s tenth year behind the desk of his own talk show, with the last three years being amongst the shows most successful in the incredibly competitive 8.30 Sunday timeslot.
Rove is best known for hosting his eponymous talk show on the Ten Network for almost ten years, including two highly successful years in the hotly contested Sunday 8.30pm slot.
In that time he has collected a bookshelf full of Logies and even a couple of Kids Choice Awards for his efforts.
Rove first hit our screens in 1999, four years after moving from his native Perth to Melbourne to pursue a career in stand up comedy. He moved beyond the stage pretty quickly when his stint on Channel 31 gave him the break that has seen Rove become one of the best-known names in Australian entertainment.
In amongst this Rove has found time to head up a highly successful production company, host the ARIA Awards four times as well as continuing to tour through Australia and New Zealand as a stand up comedian.
