Michael Christian
Michael Christian etched his name into the AFL's history books as a key member of Collingwood's glorious drought-breaking 1990 premiership team.
Today, he is one of football's leading commentators, headlined by his work with Network Ten as a commentator and co-host of The Fifth Quarter.
Following his retirement at the end of the 1995 season, Michael focused on his business career as a stockbroker. A Chartered Accountant, he was ultimately promoted to the position of Head of Australian Sales for giant Dutch investment bacnk, ABN Amro.
During this period, Michael also pursued a football broadcasting career with ABC Radio. His accurate, insightful and enthusiastic football commentary saw him quickly develop into one of the most highly regarded broadcasters in the game.
After resigning from his stockbroking commitments in late 2001, Michael focused purely on his media career. A key member of TEN's AFL coverage, he also spent time as part of the top rating football commentary team on Triple M radio.
After a number of stints on the station, Michael is currently co-host of breakfast show Prime Time Sports on Sport 927, along with Anthony Mithen. He and Mithen also team up on KRock's AFL coverage.
