Matthew Lloyd
Essendon captain Matthew Lloyd joins Network Ten in 2009 as Expert Commentator and panellist on 'One Week At A Time'.
At the age of 30, Matthew has already achieved superstar status within the ranks of the AFL. He has won a premiership with Essendon in 2000, won the Coleman Medal on three separate occasions (2000, 2001 and 2003) kicked over 100 goals in a season (109 in 2000 and 105 in 2001), been selected to the All Australian team on five occasions (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003) and has played over 200 games. He has also surpassed the legendary John Coleman in the number of goals kicked for Essendon and currently sits as 8th on the all time leading goal scorers list.
Matthew was the full forward for perhaps the greatest AFL team in history, the 2000 Essendon Premiership team which lost only one game for the season and then went on to win the 2000 AFL Premiership in emphatic style. Matthew kicked 109 goals for that season.
Matthew is married to his childhood sweetheart Lisa and they have a beautiful daughter Jaeda who turned 3 in December 2009.
The triple Coleman Medalist and 5 time All Australian has captained the Bombers since 2006.
